‘Tekenaar in Tanger’ is een poging tot beeldverhaal over het buurtje rond Café Colon in Tanger. Het is een broddellapje voor het maken van strips nieuwe stijl. Ik onderzoek erin: lettergrootte, pagina grootte, integratie urban sketches, verhouding tekst/woord en samenhang beeld/verhaal. De basis vormen de tekeningen die ik over een periode van enkele jaren in Tanger heb gemaakt. Literatuur: ‘letterlijk en figuurlijk’ van Joost Pollmann.
‘Tekenaar in Tanger’ is a try out for a possible graphic story about the neighborhood around Café Colon in Tangiers. In this work I’ll try a different way of making a graphic story. The story will not be drawn on piece of paper, but composed on the computer in Photoshop. I will incorporate sketches I made over a number of years in Tangiers and use my own font. The possible format is inspired by an essay on the art of graphic novels ‘Letterlijk en Figuurlijk’ by Joost Pollmann.
