Toen ik in december 2022 terugkwam in Polranny kwam ik nog twee tekeningen te kort voor een nieuw boekje met schetsen van Achill. Ik ging aan de slag, maar met de korte dagen en het onbetrouwbare weer, bleef ik dicht bij huis: Achill Sound en soms richting Cloughmore. en omdat ik nog veel ongepubliceerde tekeningen van Corraun had, werd het idee geboren om het boekje over The Sound te laten gaan. Veel maritieme tekeningen did keer dus: boten en pieren. in februari werd het boekje Around the Sound gepubliceerd. nummer 4 in de serie van boekjes met pentekeningen.
When I landed again in Polranny in December 2022 I was 2 sketches short of a new book on Achill. Early in 2023 I started off, but taking into account the short days and the unpredictable weather i stayed close to home: Achill Sound and occasionally in the direction of Cloughmore. Together with quite a few unpublished sketches of Corraun it made more sense to do a book about the Sound end environs instead of the parish as a whole. in February 2023 Around the Sound was published. Number 4 in the serie of Irish sketches.
